Tom Hanks, one of Hollywood's top actors, is expected to play Geppetto for the upcoming movie Live-action Pinocchio Movie. Geppeto is a toy craftsman who made Pinocchio from wood, Geppeto hoped for the star to make Pinocchio live, miraculously his prayer came true. Starting from this miracle Pinocchio's adventure takes place.
According to Collider, the new Pinocchio has a budget of up to USD 150 million, with production expected to begin in the summer of 2019.
Hanks had worked with Disney before. He voiced Woody in the Toy Story franchise, while he played Walt Disney at Saving Mr. Banks. The next big role is Fred Rogers in the titleless film Hanks is the iconic children's TV host.
Pinocchio is just the latest live-action remake from Disney. The next company target is The Lion King, and Disney recently released an amazing trailer for him.
